Application of mature wellness fango and thermal ozone bath               
The thermal treatment with mature fango of Abano involves the whole body. Like any other thermal cure, the application of fango should be conducted upon prescription and under supervision of the spa physician.
It is practiced in the morning, fasting. The mature mud used in the Spas of La Residence & Idrokinesis, rich in vegetable anti-inflammatory substances derived from clay of the Euganean Hills, which undergoes a process of maturation in thermal water.
The application of fango is carried out by our experienced staff (the fanghini): The body is coated with a layer of about 5 - 10 cm of fango at a temperature of 39°C - 42°C and then covered with a sheet and a wool blanket to slow the loss of heat. The duration of treatment varies from 10 to 20 minutes. Once freed from the fango and after the shower, one plunges into a wraparound thermal bath of spring micro-dynamized water (with ozonized air to create a micro-effervescence) at a temperature of 37°C for at least 5-10 minutes. Then dried and accompanied in one’s room or in a particular place where one lays in bed, well covered, for at least 30 minutes to allow the classic sweating reaction. Usually the session ends with a pleasant body massage, but can also be completed with other treatments, such as physio-kinesis-therapy or hydro-kinesis-therapy.
The application of mature fango, along with the thermal bath, brings considerable benefits to the muscular apparatus, osteoarticular and to problems of posture, it has an anti-inflammatory action, increases antioxidant defences, actives cell metabolism, protects the articular cartilage and does not cause gastro disturbances. The action of hydrostatic pressure of the thermal waters facilitates the venous return, lymphatic drainage and reduces the stagnation of interstitial fluids. The repetition of this treatment for at least two weeks also leads to an effective action on the chronic pain.

Thermal ozone bath
The thermal bath with ozone is the essential completion of the fango therapy. The water used for the thermal bath is extracted at a temperature of 87°C from the sources of the Thermal Spa of La Residence & Idrokinesis. Classified as salty-bromine-iodic hyper thermal, the thermal water is an unique resource in the world and is used at the temperature prescribed by the doctor as essential completion of the thermal cure in osteoarticular diseases due to its intense and vaso-dilator and muscle relaxant action associated to the dynamizing effect of the ozonized water.The temperature of exploitation and its unique chemical and physical composition also ensure a strong analgesic and decontracting action useful for the rapid solution to problems caused by muscle tensions especially at a paravertebral level (cervical pain, chronic low back pain, back pain).

Thermal bath with hydro-essences                                
The complete immersion of the body in a bath of spring water rich in minerals (the most significant is salty, bromine, iodine) is a time of natural well-being and deep relaxation. In "Well-being PLUS” paths, to the thermal bath are associated special hydro-essences (firming, relaxing, draining) that transform it into an effective and healthy cosmetic treatment.

Aerosol and inhalation with thermal water                          
The particular composition of the salty-bromine-iodic thermal water plays a useful anti-inflammatory and sedative purifying action on the mucous membranes of the respiratory apparatus (chronic inflammatory forms of the respiratory apparatus and the first upper breathing channels, pharynx, larynx, bronchus, paranasal sinuses).
The diseases most commonly treated are: rhinitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, chronic catarrhal otitis and chronic bronchitis. The inhalation therapy is also indicated for children.
The treatment is most effective and lasting when combined with localized applications of fango-therapy

Fango Therapy “Sinusitis”
To apply both adult and children a warm fango compress helps to cure sinusitis. The mature fango applied locally develops an important anti-inflammatory action which increases significantly when associated to inhalations and aerosols with salt-bromine-iodine thermal water.
It’s ideal to combat chronic respiratory diseases (rhinitis and chronic sinusitis). The treatment is usually performed in combination with breathing gym-exercises.
